About Us

The Chester Artists Association (CAA) is a 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization that meets the second Friday of each month, except for July and August, at 10 A.M. at the Perkinson Center for the Arts and Education in Chester, Virginia.

There is a June and December luncheon.

Our History

 

Founded on September 18, 2009, by a group of local artists with the goal to bring area artists together to engage in artistic learning and provide social time.

How to Join Chester Artists Association...

 

  • We welcome all artists to visit a meeting to decide if you wish to join the group.

  • Annual dues is $30

  • Contact our Membership Chair Judy Harris or our President, Paula Ortgiesen.

Featured Members

Our CAA president and a Richmond artist whose primary medium is mixed media. She draws inspiration from everything she sees and touches in her surroundings.

Our CAA secretary and a Chesterfield artist whose primary medium in acrylic. Her work leans towards the whimsical and humorous side of expression. She is inspired by the world around her and its inhabitants.

Our CAA membership chairperson that resides in Colonial Heights. She is an oil and mixed media artist. She is inspired by nature and the play of light on a subject.
